Description:
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is accepting proposals for the Fiscal Year 2005 Clean Vessel Act grant program. This grant program provides funding for the development, operation, and maintenance of sewage pumpout facilities for recreational boaters and also for programs that educate boaters about the importance of proper disposal of their sewage. Applications must be submitted electronically or received at one of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services regional offices by January 7, 2005.
Private marinas and local governments are encouraged to contact their state Clean Vessel Act Coordinators to ensure that the state is aware of their specific needs and plans to submit a grant proposal.
